Held at Chiba Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan

and Maishima Sports Island, Osaka, Japan

Summer sonic Held in Japan is an annual two or three-days rock festival and one of it's kind held at the same time in Osaka and Chiba. The bands are both big time and indie based bands going to Osaka the first day go to Chiba the following day and vice versa.

 

What's cool is the fact that bands talk about crossing paths on the train going from one city to another. As well unlike concerts in the states an artist may play with a variety of artists cross marketing the fan base and helping the fans to really get their money's worth due to seeing 100 bands or more verse just 50!

 

By making it easier for bands to sign up because there's limited touring involved and a big show in two different cities it' becomes an attractive stop for top bands to play! I think this concept is cool and it goes to show with a little bit of thinking of the fan what's possible with promoting concerts and shows!

The line-up contains many Japanese rock musicians and those from other countries and the stages. The artist range from both major and indie record companies, and

 

International acts that vary in fan base and popularity. By the end of the festival if your ever lucky enough to attend your sure to find a new favorite band at summer sonic in Japan so get with your booking agent and book your chance to see hundreds of bands at one weekend!
